The Delightful Domain!

Let the adventure begin!
Te Tipunga team had a fantastic day down at Barrett's Domain as part of our inquiry 'OUR PLACE'.  Room 9 took over one hundred photos which really captured the unique surroundings of our school and community.  When the class was asked to describe their day in one word these are their responses: hot, amazing, bushy, sheltered, breezy, adventurous, exciting, thirsty!

When asked what they enjoyed? The whole day, going down the hill, going somewhere new, seeing the horses, the lagoon and DRAWING!
A big thank you very much to the parents who joined us too!

Writing....

The other day I went to the beach with my dad.  When we got there I saw Molly.  She bought her sister in the sea with her but she could not go very far so Molly took her back to the sand.  When Ella was gone me and Molly looked for pipi's.  When me and Molly looked on the sand we found a smelly old fish!    By Kelsy

When I went to Fitzroy Beach with my family and had a swim the waves were crashing on me and they kept dragging me back to shore.  I remembered that I had brought my boggie board and had lots of fun boggie boarding.  At the beach on the other side was a hut.  The hut was big enough for someone to live in!   By Coby

Yesterday I went to my dads and we bought some new shoes for dad and then we got some chips at the Tree House and a drink.  It was a raspberry lemonade.  Then I went to mums and I got new shoes and I wore a pair to school today.  By Kaino

I went to the beach with Frankley School on Tuesday 5 February.  I saw lots of waves.  I was excited.  It was windy. I had fun.  by Alaina

I had so much fun yesterday at the rock pools and Ngamotu Beach.  Waves were crashing.  Mum and dad came to have lunch with me and I got to play with my friends.  The sea was warm and the wind was a problem.  Mr Ritai had a competition for the person who could find the most pipi's they would get a high five.  Coby, Bryn, Cameron, Nikk, Caleb and I made a village out of sand.  The people were wizards, benders and goblins.  We had dragons as our pets.   By Wini

Wind crashed in my hair whipping it around in waves of excitment.  It was a fun juicy Tuesday!  By Ben

The Annual Frankley Beach Day!

On Tuesday all of Frankley School bused down to the Belt Road rock pools where we had crab hunting, watching the sea life and catching our hats! Then we walked down to Ngamotu Beach where we made sand castles, swam in the sea and found lots of pipi's. Thankfully the buses came early as we were being hassled by the wind!

Everyone was rummaging around in the rock pools looking at the sea life! I found half of a paua shell, a sea urchin shell and a live sea urchin. By Lola

In this photo we have Frankley School making beautiful castles in the sand. I made a  little mountain with Robyn.  By Michaela
