Terra Nova

Room 9 have been working hard on their Terra Nova projects.  This week we were looking into gravity.  What is gravity? Why do we need gravity? Where does gravity come from? How much would we weigh on a planet that has less gravity...... just a few examples of the questions that we are looking to answer.

Mr Hyde - Terra Nova

Today Te Tipunga team had Mr Hyde visit and share his knowledge about the Solar System. He put together a wiki for us and then showed us around some of the fascinating things about our space.
We discovered that gravity is an important feature on earth, that our sun is a star that is rather unique as we are the only solar system that has one sun star.  We also learnt a little about travelling at the speed of light and that space exploration to other plants could take up to 20 years!

Everyone was buzzing with curiosity and a host of new questions.  We will look forward to discovering the answers to these wonderings.
Thanks Mr Hyde
