Plastic homework

Lola-I made a poi with plastic bags. I went onto youtube and followed the instructions. Mum and I did a four plat for the handles and the whole poi is made from PLASTIC!

Robyn-I made a flower out of four plastic bags. I cut handles of and then cut the bottom off until I had one great square then I gathered them in the middle, twisted and tied it in the middle until I had a circle. You can shape the petals by cutting the edge.

Alaina-I made a flower and a ghost. To make the flower I cut circles out of the plastic bags. And to make the ghost I stuffed a plastic bag inside and then tided it off.

Kelsy – I made loads of stuff! Out of one plastic bag I made a top by cutting up the bottom of a plastic bag, a belt by plaiting it together, a bow tie, a pompom and a sunflower.  I used 5 plastic bags.

Izak – nana and mum helped me to plait some more rope for the class mat.

Shanelle – I made a broach out of a plastic bag. I got a safety pin.

Jack – mum and I made a place mat by ironing the plastic bags together.  I used about 4 bags for each mat.

Ari – me and dad made a kite.  We used a huge bag for the front of the kite and bamboo poles for the structure. We used insulation tape.

  1. I'm going to have to visit you if I may Room 9 to see all the wonderful ways in which you have recycled plastic. Such fantastic ideas and you're obviously enjoying helping to re-use, reduce and recycle.
